Trademarks are used to distinguish goods and services of companies. The classification of goods and services is defined by the International treaty known as "Nice Classification" or "International Classification of Goods and Services". Every five years the Nice Classification is revised.
Manuela Nettinger
| PHYSICIST German Patent Attorney European Patent and Trademark Attorney European Design Attorney Ms. Nettinger graduated in 1995 from the Technical University of Munich with a degree in physics. During her studies she specialized in applied thermodynamics and completed an experimental diploma thesis on heat pumps at the Bavarian Research Center for Applied Energy (Bayerisches Zentrum für angewandte Energieforschung). After graduation, Ms. Nettinger joined a patent law firm in Munich and qualified as a German and European Patent Attorney in 2000 and 2003, respectively. She focused on cases related to the mechanics and electronics of non-linear optics, technical thermodynamics, and medical devices. After eight years of practice Ms. Nettinger joined Diehl & Partner in September 2008. Ms. Nettinger gained considerable experience in German and European Community trademarks and designs preparing opinions on trademark infringement cases for the German civil courts. She was also involved in a number of patent infringement cases. Ms. Nettinger is a member of the German Association of Intellectual Property Experts (VPP) and Federation International des Conseils en Propriete (FICPI). Ms. Nettinger speaks German and English and understands French. |
